The telescope series Celestron PowerSeeker is designed to give the beginning astronomy enthusiast the perfect combination of quality, capability and price. Offering an exceptional price, portability, and extensive features, Celestron Powerseeker telescopes are the perfect introduction to the world of amateur astronomy.
The PowerSeeker 70AZ is a lenticular telescope collecting almost 100 times more light than the human eye. It is mounted on an azimuthal mount with versatile use suitable for both astronomical and earth observation. Unique design and affordable price and great capabilities are the main advantages of this series. Telescopes of this series give bright and high-contrast images of the Moon and planets. Lens size 70 mm allows observation of the Sun (special filter required), Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter including moons, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Within the range of the telescope are brighter comets, asteroids and outside the Planetary Systemm: galaxies, nebulae, globular and open clusters, double and multiple stars. The telescope, due to its light weight ideally suitable as a portable instrument that we can take by car to areas with better air clarity away from big cities
The telescope set includes:
- Eyepiece: 20 mm (35x), 4 mm (175x),
- Angle cap 1.25",
- 5x24 searchlight,
- Aluminum tripod,
- Azimuthal mount,

Celestron is an American company specializing in the production of optical equipment, operating continuously since 1960. Since its inception, it has been developing innovative solutions to support both amateur astronomers and professional users. It gained popularity thanks to its Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, which set new standards in astronomical observations. Among the groundbreaking technologies developed by Celestron are the StarSense AutoAlign automatic alignment system and the NexStar controller, which greatly facilitate sky observation. The advanced EdgeHD series telescopes are also used in scientific observatories, and Fastar technology allows for exceptionally fast sky imaging while maintaining high-quality detail. The brand has gained worldwide recognition and is considered one of the leading manufacturers of mid-range telescopes.
