The Alpha Industries Explorer Jacket - Black

The jacket is nice. I took off the extra fur because it's not needed in Ukraine (it’s more for the North Pole). The size L fits me well (height 178 cm, 92 kg). The only thing that surprised me: at Nova Poshta, they didn’t let me try it on. It even said: no fitting, only inspection. I had to buy at my own risk. But everything worked out. Of course, it’s strange that they don’t allow fittings.

Definitely a good item. The only thing to consider is that the manufacturer either sizes the item a bit smaller, or it's a slim fit, although the description here lists the fit as regular. For example, an XXL from Timberland fits me much more loosely.

The jacket is really thick and warm, yet does not restrict movement. I'm 176 cm tall and have a 110 cm chest, size L fits very well. Even after putting on a thick fleece, there is still some room so the jacket does not restrict movement. The positive reviews from others about warmth retention are confirmed – at -10°C and a light blouse I felt comfortable outdoors. I recommend it.

I've been using this jacket for a second season, and I must confirm that it performs very well. I tested it in winter in our mountains, and it provided proper warmth. At 0°C, I wear it with just a thermal shirt underneath. The only minus is the button – after a year of use, two have already fallen off, so at this price, they should be better sewn.

The jacket is very warm and functional. With my height of 188 cm and weight of 95 kg, size XL fits perfectly. The biggest downside is the buttons, which have poorly sewn threads and after a month of wearing, they started coming undone – they’ll probably fall off soon and I’ll have to file a complaint about the jacket, which is inconvenient in winter, because the store has 14 days to process the complaint, and being without a jacket during this period can be problematic.

I’ll just add that the zipper can be opened in two directions, so you can unzip the jacket from the bottom, for example when getting into a car, with the top still zipped. The jacket also has waist adjustment. I give it 10/10.

At first, I had some doubts about the price, but after deciding to buy and seeing the jacket, I know what I paid for. Sturdy construction, high-quality materials, thoughtful design, and practical and sufficient pockets (maybe the inner one should have a zipper). I can't comment on the insulation yet – I'll test it in the upcoming season, but I hope I won't be disappointed.

The jacket is extremely comfortable and very warm. I hesitated for a long time because of the high price, but it was a good decision. I’ve tested it even at -20°C, wearing only a T-shirt and a shirt underneath, and I was still hot. It protects very well against rain, snow, and wind. There are plenty of pockets, placed in convenient locations. I wouldn’t recommend wearing it inside a shopping mall – it gets really hot. I plan to buy a similar one for my wife.

I took a long time to decide whether to buy this jacket, but I do not regret the decision. It is light and very warm. Although I haven't had the chance to test it at below zero temperatures yet. The build quality is very high, lots of pockets. I think I’ll buy more Alpha Industries jackets and I definitely recommend it.

Heavy, big and incredibly warm. I heard a lot about Alfa's products and their solid quality, but when I had a chance to try it on, the jacket exceeded all my expectations. The sizing on the website matches reality. I chose L and at 183 cm tall and 105 cm chest, it fits great, even with a thick sweatshirt underneath. Due to the fitted cut, you sometimes have to unzip the bottom, for example to tie your shoes, but that's a small thing. Overall, I definitely recommend it.

The jacket is warm and nice, but the buttons are very poorly sewn. After several days of normal office wear, I already had to sew three buttons back on and reinforce all the others because the factory stitching wasn't enough to keep them in place.

The jacket is very warm and not heavy. I've been wearing it for three winters now and it still looks like new, everything works flawlessly. The two-way zipper is handy when driving a small car. As for washing – it was once dry cleaned, but now I wash it in the washing machine – Nikwax Tech Wash, then TX Direct, Samsung washing machine, jacket program 30°C, 3 rinses, 800 rpm. After washing, the jacket is like new – it hasn’t lost its loft or warmth. Highly recommended, top quality and timeless style.

The jacket is very warm, made of high-quality materials and excellently finished – no crooked seams or loose threads. Unfortunately, I couldn't match the size – M was too tight, and L had sleeves that were much too long.

I've been using this jacket for the eighth season now and it's indestructible! It's very warm and works even in very cold weather. It has the perfect number of handy pockets. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
