M65 jackets, which we present on MILITARY.EU, are a timeless style of outerwear, combining comfort and high functionality. It will perform perfectly in the field and in urban conditions. The jacket will keep us warm throughout the winter, but can also be used in slightly warmer periods, as for this purpose it has been designed with a liner that can be detached when we are too warm. In turn, the large number of practically arranged pockets makes this garment very roomy.
The M65 uniform system served American soldiers during the winter seasons, from the 1960s until 2009. A huge advantage of field jackets in the M65 system over its predecessor, the M51, was that they had a wind-protective collar, which proved very useful during the Vietnam War during the cold monsoon seasons. It was the men's M65 jackets that gained almost cult status. They gained wider fame while penetrating mass culture after the screenings of such legendary films as Rambo: First Blood with Sylvester Stalonn and Taxi Driver with Robert De Niro. The jacket was also present in Polish films and TV series, to mention the character of Lieutenant Borewicz played by Bronislaw Cieslak in the TV series 07 Zgłoś Się.
Historically, the jacket was made from NYCO fabric, a blend of 50% cotton and 50% nylon. Today's manufacturers, still remain faithful to this composition. The jacket was also impregnated with a spec called Quarpel, effectively protecting against water. Four colour variants of M65 jackets were introduced for the US military: olive green (OG-107), woodland camouflage, desert camouflage (3-Color Desert Pattern) and UCP (Universal Camouflage Pattern).

So at MILITARY.EU you will find M65 jackets from the legendary American company Alpha Industries. This is the company that was the first to introduce this type of jacket to the civilian market, previously equipping American soldiers with them. The model we offer comes in olive green.
For fans of domestic production, we recommend M65 jackets from Polish clothing manufacturer Helikon. They come in black, olive green and woodland camouflage. Their advantage is that they have a detachable inner liner and original material composition, 50% cotton to 50% nylon (the so-called NYCO), just like in the original.
M65 jackets are also offered by Polish clothing manufacturer Texar. This company offers us a jacket in black. It has the original composition of the material (NYCO) and an inner warm liner.
We also offer a series of M65 jackets from German clothing manufacturer Brandit. They come in Classic and Giant variants (much thicker material). The Brandit Classic jackets come in black, olive green and dark camouflage, while the Brandit Giant comes in olive green and black. Both variants are united by having a warm inner liner, which can be detached depending on your own feelings.
